Costa Rica abolished its military in 1948. A BOLD PEACE documents the rewards stemming from that decision as well as the challenges the country has faced.
The key message of the film is “Another world is possible!”
April 4 was chosen because it is NATO’s 70th anniversary, a day of protest of NATO’s ongoing war racketeering. It is also the 52nd anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr’s powerful Beyond Vietnam anti-war speech and the 51st anniversary of his assassination.
