Come mix and mingle with the community of gardeners at the Rainbow Road Allotment Garden located behind the parking lot by the Rainbow Road pool. Friday, June 24 from 5:00-7:00pm.
Garden members will be happy to show you around the garden and answer your questions. Come hungry for good organic locally-prepared food, and come curious about what it’s like to have a plot inside of a cooperative garden environment.
Bring everything to eat…. including plates, forks, cups, etc. as well as food AND drink as this site is NOT a farm — it’s a community garden!! — so there’s no house or kitchen to go into! Also plan to leave nothing and take everything that you bring back home with you (example: if you bring a stick of butter — organic of course — you will take home the wrapper and any remaining butter). Fresh organic leftover food MIGHT be suitable for the garden’s compost bin and that will be up to the discretion of the garden manager.
