–Fostering a culture of sustainability–

  • Four Repair Cafes fixed over 300 items, giving them a second life.
  • Four Clothing Swaps engaged over 1,500 people, including high school students, keeping thousands of pounds of clothing out of landfills.
  • Hundreds of families participated in our Toy Swap—making holiday giving more joyful and sustainable!

-Empowering our community with knowledge and tools–

  • Expert-led workshops like “Gardening in a Changing Climate” and First Nations events foster both adaptation and reconcili-action.
  • Webinars such as “Wonders of the Salish Sea” inspired stewardship of our local ecosystems.
  • Constant outreach—through videos, articles, and social media—keeps sustainability top-of-mind for thousands of islanders.

–Promoting water conservation and resource management–

  • $43,000 in rebates distributed this year helped homeowners install rainwater harvesting systems, upgrade wood stoves, and take real climate action.
  • Advocacy efforts ensure freshwater resources are responsibly managed for future generations.
