Transition Salt Spring and the Salt Spring Island Water Preservation Society want to learn from you. We’re running a survey to understand what property owners are doing beyond the 30-metre FireSmart zones to reduce wildfire risk, protect water, and care for our rare Coastal Douglas Fir ecosystem.
Your experience matters. What you’re already doing – or thinking about doing – on your property holds valuable knowledge that can help the whole community.
Your responses will shape evidence-based resources that respect both wildfire safety AND the ecological integrity of our island. This survey is about learning from real Salt Spring experiences and sharing that knowledge back to the community.
