Hosted by Lena, a newer generation homesteader, this short experiential workshop is all you need to get started growing your own food.
We will cover basics such as where to grow, learn about soil, what to plant and how to care for seedlings as they mature. Please come prepared to do some light garden work. Bring some garden gloves, a bottle of water and appropriate gear for the weather (workshop is on ~ rain or shine!)
“The first few gardens I grew I would look at my veggies and wasn’t excited… they didn’t look the same as the store! Years later (and of course with some practice), my garden veg is my top choice, local farm is 2nd and grocery store is bottom of the list! There is nothing like eating from your own garden. It’s my goal to help beginners to get set up to win and start growing!”
Join Lena at beautiful Peace Farm, where she began with a grassy meadow, and now brings nutritious delight to her family. You can too!
