LOCAL ELECTIONS ON OCTOBER 17 WILL SHAPE THE YEARS AHEAD
The upcoming election on October 17 is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape and protect the future of Salt Spring as we elect four Local Community Commissioners, a CRD Area Director and two Islands Trust Trustees to four-year terms.
These next four years will be pivotal on so many fronts including climate, food security and affordable housing, and we need to have the best elected representatives in place to meet the moment.
So, be an informed voter and find out where the candidates stand on the issues, including via Community Resiliency questionnaires we've sent in partnership with the Salt Spring Island Farmland Trust. And make sure your voice is heard on October 17 whether through advance voting, mail-in ballot or on Voting Day.
